Smith is a genius and so incredibly quick-witted with hysterical rapid fire answers. Just when you catch your breath from laughing at a funny line, the next one comes and just makes you laugh harder. I’m 52 years old and it just goes to show you what a wide audience base the man has. More power to him and bless him for his honesty!

Liza Minnelli’s “Liza at the Palace” won the Tony for Special Theatrical Event last night, beating our production, “Slava’s Snowshow”.

Will Ferrell’s “You’re Welcome America” and “Soul of Shaolin” shared the category.

David Strassman just opened in a two week run at Perth’s Regal Theatre.  (Snowshow opens in the same theatre in September.)

“Slava’s Snowshow” was nominated today for the 2009 Tony Awards. Nominated for Best Special Theatrical Event category, we’re up against Liza Minnelli’s Liza’s At The Palace, Will Ferrell’s You’re Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush and Soul of Shaolin.  The Tonys are on Sunday, June 7 at Radio City Music Hall.   Here are all the nominations.

The “Slava’s Snowshow” Australian tour is going on sale: Perth is on sale now and Melbourne is next week.

And New Zealand is already selling strongly.
