snowshow new zealand tour…selling out

07/30/2009
imagesOur New Zealand tour has been even more successful than we hoped. The sold out  Christchurch Arts Festival run closed Sunday; and the Taranaki Arts Festival run just opened, with every seat sold in advance.

Christchurch’s Head of Communications, Garreth Spillane, wrote: Having been working on the Festival and marketing the Solid Energy Season of SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW for four months now, I have to admit that SLAVA fatigue was beginning to set in. This morning however I sat in the St James Theatre and managed to be blown away by this fabulous show. SLAVA’S SNOWSHOW is a work of magic that will enrich its audience – it celebrates humanity and theatricality and the wonder of what can be done when a simple idea is executed perfectly. Please, don’t miss it!

rave reviews for kevin smith at carnegie hall

06/19/2009
kevinsmithGreeted by a thundering standing ovation — it felt more like a hockey game than a concert — Kevin Smith’s sell-out Carnegie Hall show was hilarious, “startlingly full disclosure …from the directorial to the lavatorial”, as the Village Voice said.

Read the whole Village Voice rave review here.

Likewise, Entertainment Weekly raved here, with many comments including:

Joe Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 01:24 PM EST I was there at Carnegie last night. It was hilarious and heart-warming all at the same time – as long as you can handle the language. (By the way – I can!) Smith is a genius and so incredibly quick-witted with hysterical rapid fire answers. Just when you catch your breath from laughing at a funny line, the next one comes and just makes you laugh harder. I’m 52 years old and it just goes to show you what a wide audience base the man has. More power to him and bless him for his honesty!
